BUJO are the unauditioned big band of the University of Bristol. Formed in 2006 the band has gone from strength to strength, developing a wide ranging, challenging and fun repertoire. The band plays anything from classic jazz, swing, funk, along with the odd bit of cheeky pop. The band has grown in experience and ability since 2006, playing many large University events, balls and functions. BUJO never fail to provide a lively, enthusiastic performance. Most recently the band has achieved recognition at the National Concert Band Festival, achieving a silver award in their début performance.

While the majority of the band is unauditioned, high competition for the rhythm and vocal spots means that these positions are auditioned. Below are the auditioned conductor, vocal and rhythm people this year!
At this moment in time, all of the BUJO vocal and rhythm section positions are available for the 2018-2019 year. Auditions start after Fresher’s week with sign ups at fresher’s fair, see the how to join section for more information.
